The base was massive, a large metalic dome in the middle of a sweltering desert. Inside, it was normal tempature unlike the outside. It was very tall, about the side of two houses ontop of each other. But there was no upper floor, just the grond floor and basement. Large machines beeped in almost every room, some were so tall they decended into darkness as they nearened the top of the building.
A green hedgehog stood in-front of a large computer, tapping away at the keyboard. 'Access Denied' kept on coming up on the large machine, a navy blue hedgehog pased around behind the hedgehog. All of the walls were metalic, and a MASSIVE robotisizer sat in the middle of the room. The door was shut but no-one was inside it. The navy hedgehog sighed, his purple eyes fixed upon the green hedgehog in sheer impatience. He was slightly taller than the green one, obiously many years older. His two bottom quills were extended and curved inwards like shaped dread-locks. He had an echidna tail and a piercing in his right ear, his shoes were grey and green.
The green hedgehog was playing it cool, confident that he wold crack the code. He was about four-teen, and he wore red and white tennis shoes. He also wore a red sleeve-less un-zipped jacket and his right ear was peirced twice, he wore a brown bag around his waist.

You would have thought one so young would get lost in such a base. No. Not Zaku Biargo. A grin glued to the young male's pale features, large, torn, bat ears twitched atop of his head. Rich blue markings that tipped his ears and a patch of fur on his chest, he stood out agiainst the silver surfaces he dashed past. Brown optics gazed around him in sheer amazement, with so many buttons that screamed out to be pushed, so many corridors to flutter down with his thick blue wings. This was an adventure for the young man. Dressed in a pair of sandy trosours, with a thick black belt, clawed feet were left bare to thud against the floors.
However, his adventures were often cut short. This time was unlikely to be different. Sure enough, fluttering alongside the bat was a small, royal blue, bird, who chirped angrily in the young males ear. The faster the bird beat it's wings to keep up with the boy, the more aparent a crumbling gold halo above it's head became. Before long, a furious angel-bat flew alongside Zaku, grabbing him by the scruff of the neck, landing in the doorway of the room to where the two hedgehogs were. As her feet hit the ground with a clang, the chains around her legs jingled, turquiose locks of hair covering her face. Painted lips glamerously framed her snarling fangs, not noticing the hedgies working. "What part of wait outside is too hard for you to get the hang of Zaku? Hm?" she quietly growled, leaning in close to the child.
Whimpering, the younger bat broke free of the angel's grasp, tugging on her bloodstained dress as he spotted the blue hedgehog. "Aunt Mia, you said this place was abandoned..." he chuckled, loving the chance to prove his guardian wrong.
The female blinked. "It was last week." she grumbled.
Zaku laughed, running between the elder hedgehog and over to the green. "Are you two zombies then? Huh? HUH?" he screeched, after a few laps, taking to the air. Being as the green hedgehog was a lot calmer at first glance, he decided to circle him.
"Oh for heaven's sake Zaku! Leave these men alo-" she then stopped in mid order, looking at the eldest. "Buster?"
The child giggled, swooping between his aunt and the hedgechidnox - soon leaning on his guardian' shoulder. "Oooooo. Mia who's your friend?"

Untill now, the hedgehog hybrid was trying to ignore the unwanted company. Although, with a sudden fluttering of the ears he recognised a familiar voice. Without having to be told twice, he immedienly turned around. He examined the others taking a defensive stance, fists clenched and his face expressionless. His eyes fixed upon Mia and it took him a few seconds to realise who she was. He dropped his fists. The green hedgehog turned his head but continued typing to identify the new-comers, but not long after he continued his typing on the computer. "Mia, hey!" He greeted, now at least he had somthing to do untill his comrad cracked the code.
The navy hybrid tryed not to look suprised to see his friend here, although the question floated around his head. "No good, I'm gonna need some time, pal." The green hedgehog said to the navy one, brushing his rather long quills from his face. The navy hedgehog sighed. "Take your time.." He said sarcasticly, rubbing his head in fustration. Finaly, the navy hedgehog, Buster, couldn't hold the question back any longer. "What brings you to Megabytes base?" He asked the group, despratley trying to pick up a conversation and he swept his feet around the metlaic, and quite slippery, floor.

Mia chuckled at the hybrid's pondering, adjusting the crumbling halo above her head, crimson lips forming a smirk. "It's been a while hasn't it." she mused, ignoring the fluttering boy beside her, who soon got distracted from the navy hybird. "Oh, this place?" she continued at the blurted out question. "Well, Zaku felt like an adventure, and being as we flew past here a few weeks back, he was determind to explore. Even if he had to sneak out in the early hours of the morning to get away without me knowing. Or so he thought. But, Megabyte? Doesn't ring any bells." she sighed, taking a few paces around the lab the group stood - or sat - in, the chains jingling with each movement of her leg, the odd feather falling from her wing, only to be replaced with a fresh purple one.
The - perhaps too - cheerful bat now hovered next to the green hedgehog, curiously peering at the coded screen, to the keyboard. "Hey mister? Whatcha doing?" he grinned, leaning lazily on his shoulder until a scolding glare of his aunt met the back of his head. He automatically moved away.

"Ah...Megabyte. Remember last time when I said that there was a long story to why I always got into so much trouble?" He asked, still sliding across the floor. At one point, he lost his balance and had to grab onto a keyboard connected to a large computer screen. The computer beeped un-gratefully, giving Buster quite a fright so he decided to move away from the machine. He leant against an experement pod willed with translucent green liquid with the odd bubble rising, althogh it was currently empty.
"Tryna hack into Megabytes main computer.." The green hedgehog explained to the strangely cheerful Bat. "Buster wanted to know the building layout and I wanna know what he's doing with a Robotisizer..." He motioned to the large cylinder machine in the middle of the room. "...In his base." He continued.

Mia pondered upon the last time she and Buster had met, nodding her head as her gaze fixed onto the pod. "So this is what you meant then eh?" she cooed, placing her hand to her chin thoughtfully, glancing around. "It really is an amazing place. Creepy, yes. But amazing."
"What's a Megabyte? Isn't it a computer thingy?" the yonger bat questioned as he flew to the pod his aunt stood before. "This stuff's cool. Dad would really love it." he beamed, not bothering to wait for the green hedgehog's answer, completly overwhelmed by the vast room. At her nephews rudeness, Mia gave a sympathetic smile as if to apologise to the hedgehog, before returning her attention to Buster.

"Megabyte is this evil dude, like Buttnik but smarter and not as fat.." The green hedgehog said. Buster sighed. "By 'Buttnik' he means Robotnik, as in Eggman." He explained, casting a pathetic look to the younger hedgehog. "Well, I don't really share this with much people but..." Buster walked to the front of the experiment pod, one that was some distance from the others. The liquid was drained and the computer was broken, it seemed different from all the rest, more complicated. This was the simpliest way Buster could put it, and the easiest. He motioned to a small black sign near the top of the pod, the wrighting was small and hard to read. But if you looked closely you could make out this: Experiment 3239. Codename: Buster Airies.
Meanwhile, 'ACCESS APPROVED' appeared on the screen and it filled with complicated words and numbers that made no sense at first glanse. "We're in!" The green hedgehog said cheerfully, typing in more things to get the appropriate page.

"Buttnik's a funny name!"
"Oh Zaku, do shush..." Mia grumbled, walking to stand next to Buster. Her fingers ran down the drained experiment pod as she looked up to the sign he gestured too. A small gasp passed her lips as her eyes were able to focus on the small font. "Experiment 3239... Oh Buster. I had no idea." she frowned, turning her head to look at the hybrid, bitting her crimson lip with her fangs. She was cut off by the green hedgehogs cheerful explination. Casting her friend a sympathetic glance, she walked over to the computer, the jangling of chains echoing as she marched.
The younger bat chuckled, leaning on the back of hedgehog's seat. "Whoo!"

Buster sighed, he didn't often bring the topic of his past up that often. He walked over to the green hedgehogs side, only focusing on the screen of the computer. His deep purple eyes moving the slightest bit as the screen changed, it was the blue-print of the Robotisizer. I shouldn't really say 'blue' print, it was light green. The labels were written in the smallest of text, so the green hedgehog had to stand as high as he could and look up to make out the wrighting at the far top. "Seems like he's had this quite a while...I wonder why its never been used. I mean, this thing could do quite some damage to the resistance..." Buster nodded at his friends words, sighing. "Alright, next."
The screen changed to the layout of the building, listing every single room with all the main machines. Buster didn't care about all of the machinery rooms, he was more interested in where the prisons were. "Sounds stupid.." Buster explained. "But I haven't found Mystic yet." He let out a small chuckle, folding his arms. "I wad given more time...So I had to concentrate on an escape plan-"
"There it is!" The younger hedgehog yelled, cutting his friend off. He pointed to a specific room in the basement. "See, right there! Bottom left!" Buster looked harder, then nodded.

The two bats waited as the friends discussed just what all of these blue-prints and maps meant. Where as Zaku quickly lost interest, Mia leant further forward to read various texts that flickered on-screen. Her head then turned to Buster as he chuckled, having to move a shard of her halo from her line of sight to look at him clearly. "Still? Well I hope she's alright..." Her attention soon shifted to the green hedgie, narrowing her eyes to look at the map. She too nodded, where as her nephew was already on the corridor.
"Well what are we waitin' for? Let's go go GO!" he cheered, beating his wings and taking off down the corridor.
"Zaku!" His aunt shouted after him, shaking her head before dashing after him.

"Don't you think we shou-" The green hedgehog was about to say to Buster, but he was already out of the door. Casting a worried glance to the computer, the green hedgehog followed the others. "Occurding to the map, the prison's are just down the stairs on the other side of the base.." Buster explained, not going to fast but in a gentle run. The green hedgehog pulled out a red and yellow hover-board and floated at the same speed as Buster. "We left the compter on, Megabytes gonna get pretty suspicious.." He said, a slightly worried tone in his voice. Buster looked at him. "Whats the worst he can do.." He paused. "Don;t awnser that..."

Desipte the green hedgehog's concern - which in most cases the bat would have concidered herself - Mia was too busy dashing after her nephew to focus. "ZAKU!" she growled, only glancing over her shoulder to see if the hedgehogs were following, only stopping when the smaller bat did.
"Look! A prison!" the adventering male grinned, hopping up and down on the spot with amusement. "The lasers are so cool!" he demanded, looking to the rest of the group.
"Uh..." The guardian angel rolled her eyes, opting not to protest how lasers were not at all fun and a hazard. "Anyone got any ideas on how to get past these...?"

Buster saw the lasers and immediently stopped, he closed his eyes and folded his arms. He began thinking, although he looked completley relaxed. The green hedgehog jumped off the hover-board and tucked it under his arm, gazing past the lazers. Unfortunatley, you couln't see much since the hallway turned left. Buster suddenly opened his eyes, his face expressionless. He took a few steps backwards and put one foot in-front of another. He lowered his head and looked straight foward. The yonger hedgehog looked suprised.
"Buster! You can't possibly make it through them!" Buster meerley nodded, getting ready to run as fast as he could. He was just hoping fate was on his side.

The bats looked from one hedgehog to the other, before glancing to eachother. Where as the younger could not quite grasp what the mass panic was all about, standing with his hands hanging limply by his sides, ears perked to listen carefully to just what his peers had to say.
Mia's lips parted in a gasp as soon as the gears clicked as to just what Buster had in mind. "You can't be serious, Buster! It's too dangerous. I'm sure if I were to focus my energy, I could shift my way over there." she begged to reason. Despite her tone being threatingly strict, her expression mixed with drooped ears, showed her concern.

Buster shook his head. And, without breathing another word, ran straight into the series of lasers. Some hit him, almost burning through his navy fur. Large crystal plants burst from the ground here and there. When he was finaly across the hazard, he dropped onto one knee for a series of seconds. He tryed to take it in that he actually made it. Parts of his fur were synged and some of them were bleeding. Not heavily, though, so he thought nothing of it. He stood up and punched a code onto a divice on the wall, the lasers all switched off.
He dropped onto one knee again, trembling. The green hedgehog ran next to him. "You ok, bud?"He asked, worried. Buster nodded, gritting his teeth trying to ignore the pain.
