A cold breeze swept around emerald coast, lifting up a small area of sand and placing it somewhere else. The waves lapping at the shore and a few lone gulls singing a tuneless din could only be heard. The large, full moon hung in the night sky, glowing eerily. Street lights to the south lit a nearby road, only a few cars driving past with roaring engins now and then.
A wave, slightly bigger than the usual ripples hit the shore with a crash, foam sprayed up for a few seconds before the sea calmed down. A blue twin tailed fox stood on the shore, the small waves damping the bottom of his jeans and his yellow shoes which were almost covered by the length of the jeans. He clapped his gloved hands together, another strangly large wave hit the shore. The fox greeted it with a smile of triamph.
Turqoise bands around his tails were almost invisivble at this time of night, as his tails flowed with the breeze keeping a steady beat. He appeared to be around the age of thirteen. You may be wondering what he was doing out at the beach at this time of night? Well, he could practice honing his skills to become a water element by trying to controll the waves and tide, un-noticed by others.

The little blue fox was not the only one who chose that night to train his skills on the beach. Sat a little while off, a pale dog figure sat on a rock, his snowy white fur almost blended with moon that he stared blankly up at. The cold breeze did not bother him, if anything it gave him a little more comfort, it was the street lights that frustrated him.
A light, yet pale set of blue optics watched the young fox work on his skills. He certainly looked impressive from this distance. It was then it clicked in his head, that he too was supposed to be training. And so he got to his feet, slinging the jacket which he wore down on the rock, leaving a brilliant white shirt with short sleeves and school tie coming into view. The untucked shirt stood out against black school trousers, which he never had been too fond of, these too long for him and covering his dark shoes which he wore beneath. Stuck in the sand next to a backpack filled with books and various things he had no interest in, was a sword crafted of silver, a heavy weapon to grasp, but with his training, was really rather simple to manouver, as he demostrated by lifting it into the air, throwing it and catching it's leather hilt.
Smirking, he moved away from the rock and stood in the sand, making very basic steps and stabs, practicing stances which he had been shown previously. His once bewildered mind became so fixed on this training, he soon became oblivious to the waves.

A large wave, bigger than all the rest arose from the sea. It crashed against the shore loudly, sweeping the fox off of his feet. He coughed as he arose off of the damp sand, wiping some water from his face. "Maybe I went a little over the top.." He muttered, shaking himself like a dog and spraying water everywhere.
He was new to this element, he only started yesterday and was taking a big step from a glass of water to the sea.

The dogs ears, being so intune to delicate sounds, picked up on the young fox's spluttering cough. So much so, he lowered his blade and watched the creature leap to his feet and shake himself dry. A small smile pulled at the corners of his lips before he returned to the swift stabs he needed to practice, monitering his own footwork as he did so.

The fox, named TJ, removed the bands from his tails and wringed them dry before placing them back on again. He spotted the dog out of the corner of his eye and smiled, he didn't like the idea of being alone when he was training. He continued making large waves, but keeping his distance from them.

Freezing after another set of stabs, the dog froze, breifly catching the fox's glance. With a quick glance he returned, this time taking a run up and jumping into the air, stabbing his sword into the sand swiftly, a blast of the grains being sent flying, much to the dog's surprise. Clearing his throat he attempted another move he had been taught. To start with he span on the spot, holding out his blade. Once he gained enough speed he moved forward, grinding to a halt soon after.
Little did he know the young fox was a relative was a relative of his teacher when it came to sword play.

Startled, TJ turned around to see his older brother. "Oh, hiya Flames! I'm trying to get dry...A wave sort of got me.." He explained, almost shivering as an icy cold breeze wafted past.

He shook his head chuckling"who goes out here at night time to play with water..here.."he ignited some fire in his hands drying his little brothers fur with them.

As soon as his vision returned to focus, the taller of the two foxes was automatically recongnised. "Flames? What are you doing here?" the young male called over, waving a hand in the air to greet his friend.

The sea seemed to calm down and retain its natural rythm as TJ wasn;t focusing on it anymore. "Thanks alot, bro." He said, gratefully.

TJ looked back to the ocean, another large wave crashed against the shore. He smiled, then turned his attention to the dog. "Who's that Flames?" He asked.

"Oh, I've heard of Diablo." TJ said, bringing the tide in a bit more so it brushed against the back of his and flames' shoes.
